Custom Notes for special purpose? was created by SethDeBlade
Hi @ all,

first I want to mention that I have read the wiki article which encourages everybody not to use custom notes in webtrees or the gedcom file.

But I have e special aim I would like to realize in webtrees.

One of my ancestors bought in 1852 a lace dress (more a white pillot with a lace blanket) in which every child (or at least a large protion) of the familiy was in when the baby was baptised.
Yesterday I got the list of persons which have been baptised in this lace blanket and I would like to mention that somewhere in my data.
Perhaps in a way that I can create a link on the start page which shows all persons with that note in their data to get an electronic list.

Is there a smart way to do this in such way that the data remains intact even though webtrees is updated?

I don't want to edit all the 80+ peaople more then once ;-)

Thank you very much in advance

This list is a source.

On the baptism record of each individual, you should add a source-citation using this source.

The source record will now show links to all 80 individuals.

Hm, well that works as well.

I guess I was thinking way to complicated *wallbash*

Thank you for pointing out this simple solution :-)
