Some images not visible to visitors was created by thomas52
Sometime during the process of moving my website, some photos are not visible.
I have a photo @ www.adkins.ws/individual.php?pid=I255 that cannot be seen unless logged on, but the image for the father can be clearly seen.
What am I missing? [Logon u/n visitor, p/w visitor if needed.]

P.S. I added two more images that are visible, but NOT the image associated with the wedding, NOR the wedding event itself.

Are there children? Are they alive?

If any family member is alive, the family record is private.

The record is visible when not logged on including an additional two images - death cert. & headstone - are visible. But the image of the bride added to the same page & linked to the marriage is NOT visible, unless logged on. I can find not difference between the several images to account for the distinction. Looking for a clue to the difference.

I presume that some are attached to public (i.e. dead) individuals and some are attached to private (i.e. living) individuals.

Families (and family facts such as marriage) are private if any member of the family is private (including children).

It appears the MARRIAGE and the image attached are "private," possibly because some of the CHILDREN of the marriage are still living. This doesn't make a lot of sense to me - why would the marriage of the parents be "private" simply because one of the children is still living? I added "2 RESN none" to the marriage, but it is still not shown. How could I make this event visible to visitors NOT logged on?

Thomas, add a Restriction = "Show to visitors" to the event of marriage and the media object

EDIT : [strike]By the way, there is no « 2 RESN none »[/strike] ;-)

0 @M342@ OBJE
1 RESN none

EDIT 2: sorry « 2 RESN none » is correct with « 1 MARR »

Because the date of the marriage (and also the absence of a marriage) can be very sensitive, as illegitimacy is taboo in many cultures.

It is common to add "family" photos to a family record - including photos of the children (who may be living).

This is why families are private when any member is private.

You can override this for specific family records by adding a restriction.

Okay, I'll buy that. I knew someone had put some thought into it. Thank you.
