Check your database connection settings in data/config.ini.php
Check the database? Do the tables exist? Do they contain data?

Thanks fisharebest,
found the issue, somehow the database tables have been dropped. How Can I restore them? I didn't do anything on the database.
I found the gedcom file in the data folder, can I just reinstall the installation and upload the gedcom file inorder to get my files back?
thanks!

I guess you don't have backups of your database or server?
If you delete the file data/config.ini.php, webtrees will start the setup wizard again. This will recreate all the (empty) tables. You'll obviously have lost all your user accounts, configuration settings, etc.
Something (or someone) clearly did. If I were you, I would be concerned that something is deleting the tables from my databases...
If you've made any edits in webtrees since you last exported your tree to a GEDCOM file, then these edits will be lost.
You'll just have the data from the GEDCOM file.

Thank you so much!
So here is a feautre request. webtrees should allways perform a backup to a gedcom data in case something goes wrong.

Rene,
IMO that procedure (performing a backup) is an important part of any update routine but is the obligation of the admin/user, not the responsiblity of the program to protect you from foolish behavior.

FYI, the "auto update" feature that was introduced a few versions ago *DOES* perform such a backup before it starts the upgrade....

Ask your current host to restore your DB. They should be retaining frequent backups.
