No Children - Add a Child... was created by thomas52
If no children are listed (yet,) the family page shows "No Children" and if the visitor has edit privileges, "Add a child..."
I have folks who get bent out of shape by me "telling them" so & so had "no children."
What is the best way to change this to read "No known children?"

Hello Thomas,

You can change any text (that you don't like/use/etc.) within webtrees by using a "custom translation". This is the easiest way without disturbing any other users' website.

See the "Howto" in the Wiki page:
wiki.webtrees.net/en/Custom_Translation

EDIT: please note that your custom language files won't be crushed with future updates of webtrees because they will be saved in your data/ folder.

You could add a NCHI (number of children) fact to the family, with a value of 0.

I should have remembered that. Thank you, all.
