Hallo,
my hostig had a server crash. I was working at that time in my webtrees, but after restart of the server I am not able to login.
In Opera browser there comes a page not found page for login.php. In explorer there is a HTTP 500 internal error.

I think it is more a problem of my hosting than a problem of webtrees, but i would be glad for some hints so I can forward them to the provider.

Just for information - login into WordPress and also to my old phpgedview instaqlation is working properly.

Ladislav

PS viewing the webtrees directory the file login.php file is in the correct directory

Page not found =404
Server error = 500

It would be very unusual to get these two different errors for the same page.

What is the URL?

Obviously you fixed this as I see the LOGIN page just fine.
Clear your cache if you do not.
Please post what, if anything, you did to remedy this problem.

Can you access your database using phpMyAdmin?

Try using phpMyAdmin to repair all of the tables.

If that does not help, check if you can write to the tables. For example, delete rows from the wt_session table.

@stephen - if you try to use the login page, you should get an "invalid user/password" message. Instead, you get a 500 error.

It is also ignoring changes to language/theme - so I am guessing that there is a problem writing to the database.

Access via phpMyAdmin is OK.

After repairing iv got this message:
Table Op Msg_type Msg_text
phpgedview.wt_block	repair	note	The storage engine for the table doesn't support repair
phpgedview.wt_block_setting	repair	note	The storage engine for the table doesn't support repair

Trying to delete a row from wt_session:
Chyba

SQL dopyt:

DELETE FROM `phpgedview`.`wt_session` WHERE `wt_session`.`session_id` = '05pghesvhqurja6llfmt1j9s50'

MySQL hlási:
#1030 - Got error -1 from storage engine

Does it mean, that the MySQL is not working properly?

Do you need a web hosting solution for your webtrees site?
If you prefer a host that specialises in webtrees, the following page lists some suppliers able to provide one for you:

I guess your database was corrupted during the server crash.

The problem might affect just some tables - or it might affect all of them. Can you download/export them?

Yes I can export/download the tables.

Ladislav

PS I am not very experienced with MySQL, and there are so much possibilities in the export table :-(

Good.

Next it is good to test this data. Do you have a local installation of webtrees, e.g. on your home PC.

If it works OK on your local computer, then you can delete all the tables on the server, and import the file there.

Thanks to all, it seems it was a problem with innodb tables on the server. The provider has resolved this problem and now is my webtrees working properly.

Phpgedview was working properly - it uses MyISAM tables.
