6 posts per page is ridiculous, IMO. I've never seen anything like this.

Is there way to increase this?
It would be nice to be able to change this in "My Profile > Look and Layout"

Yes you're right, it should probably be 6 posts per thread :-)))

Seriously though - 6 per page was the default. and I'd never looked at it, to be honest.

Now changed to 25.

Regarding personalising this - we'll be upgrading the forum soon (ver 1.6). Just waiting for a stable release to be available. I'll have a look to see if this is one of the (many) new features.

Hello Nigel

Not sure if I'm looking in the right place but is there an option to receive email alerts when replies are added to threads that one is subscribed to - had a look in my profile but couldn't see anything there?

Thanks - Jean

And to subscribe to a discussion you can use the "subscribe" button at the end of the page.

All earlier responses are correct - subscription is automatic if you instigate or respond to a thread; otherwise you can subscribe with the "subscribe' button at the top AND bottom of each thread.

When we are able to upgrade to the next version it will also have the ability for you to subscribe (or not) to an entire category.

Thanks

I am subscribed to this thread and others too but am not receiving any notices - sent myself a message to my email address and it's working OK so I don't know why am not receiving alerts.

It can only mean that your email server is blocking the messages, as the rest of us all receive them regularly. They come from a mail account named "webtrees Forum [change@me.com]". Check your email system for that, and / or add it to your allowed addresses.

Thanks guys

Turns out as you suggested, Kiwi , that the email.com server was shooting the messages straight to the spam folder.
All fixed now.
