Question Military service, how to file the data

Hi,

For the first time I have encountered an ancestor who did military service and I'm not sure how to file it .
The ancestor served in the land forces (dutch: landmacht), in a corps (dutch: korps) specialised in deploying sea mines (dutch: torpedisten).
Now, a military record has Military, Type and Agency fields. What is the best practice to divide the information I have over these fields?

Here's another approach:

1 _MILI American Revolution - Patriot
2 DATE FROM JUL 1781 TO OCT 1783
2 NOTE PATRIOT - John Ward was a soldier in the American Revolution. Enlisted in Lunenburg County, Virginia, served as private in Captain [William] Parson's company [troop] of Dragoons, (also under Lt. [Henry] Bell,) Col. George Baylor's Regiment, Continental & Virginia Line from Summer 1781 to Fall 1783 (3rd Regiment Continental Light Dragoons.)
2 PLAC Lunenburg, Virginia, USA
2 SOUR @S17824@
2 OBJE @M37@
