There are new releases of webtrees available for download. Yay!

1.7.17 contains a minor security fix.
2.0.4 contains several updates.
See webtrees.net/blog/ for details.

For the next release, I am working on a couple of things

a) "research links" - this was a custom module for 1.7, and I want to have it built-in to 2.0. There will be a tab on the individual page which will contain direct links to ancestry.com and similar sites - so you can quickly search for individuals.

b) change the way that gedcom tags are represented internally, to make it easy for modules to provide custom tags. I also want to move all (most?) custom tags to a webtrees module - so that GEDCOM purists can disable them entirely ;-)

Thanks Greg!

The upcoming "research links" module sounds great! Will it be able to fill in the more advanced search fields like birthplace / year, father's names, mother's names, spouse's names, etc on a form like this?
www.familysearch.org/search/

Copy/pasting all of those details is painful :)

That is the plan - if I can get it to work...
