The interactive tree is my best favorite chart. I think it is the most important chart in webtrees.
It is easier to view and understand than other charts. It is very convenient for browsing family trees.

However, at present, it is impossible to click individuals when viewing interactive trees on mobile devices. Very inconvenient.
Is there any good solution?

Mir würde schon die Bedienbarkeit auf dem Handy ausreichen.

The usability on the mobile phone would be enough for me.

I suspect it may be something to do with "mousedown touchstart" events in webtrees.min.js
If you google that you will see that there are some tricky problems associated with getting mouse and touch working on different devices.

Bogie, I quite like the relatively compact layout of the Interactive tree as it is although not as compact as the "compact" setting.

One thing that annoys me about the Interactive tree is how when you drag the chart around, you can sometimes end up drag-selecting a section of the tree and it's really hard to find the place to click to deselect.

Personally, my go-to chart is the Hourglass Chart although it would be Magic Sundays Descendants chart if he could get spouses included.

The hourglass chart is also great. The most important thing is that it can't automatically expand. It is also inconvenient to view on mobile devices, and the display area is too large.

Yes, the Interactive chart is perhaps better on mobile, except for this click/tap problem of course.
I note that Dave Drury has a pull request #4605 that puts a reset button on the Interactive chart. If that takes the chart back to it's initial state when opened, that sounds like a good idea.
The expanded chart can get a bit out of hand.

At your suggestion, I have changed the default chart to hourglass chart in my page.
I can only make do for now. Experience is not as good as Interactive tree.

I haven't!

#4605 addresses a few things on the MAPS reset control
#4606 adds stuff for fullscreening elements and adds a control for that to the Maps
#4607 is a demo built on #4606 to show how to fullscreen the interactive tree
