A suggestion:
Remove the
background:url(images/paper.png) repeat;border:1px solid #ccc;border-radius:5px;
from the image itself.

Some of my images are the old-fashioned ovals on a transparent rectangle. Others are damaged documents with the missing parts transparent.

The reason I did this instead of a white background is so that they will look OK no matter what color scheme is on the surrounding page.

Putting a background behind the image that exactly fits its transparent part defeats the purpose.

That's something you'll have to do for yourself. I put that there 'cos I like it. Sorry.

:-)
I did.

You like the gray showing through transparency? Or is there something else about it that you like?

I don't use transparency on images in this situation. I prefer control over their background color.

Still puzzled. How can you see the background if it is an attribute of the image itself?

That sounds like you've removed the 15px padding that should surround each image:

Ah, I see. Hmm. Looks like I did, though that puzzles me too, since I held down the undo key till it stop changing. :-)
Guess I'll have to download a fresh copy
