Source citation & markdown was created by ddrury
Shouldn't the Text field in a source citation be able to display markdown'ed text?

The source citation is a one-line field.

Markdown was added to the multi-line fields (source transcript, notes).

Citations are (according to the spec) supposed to have the format "Key: value, ....". e.g.

"Volume: 45, Chapter: 2, Page: 45"

I'm not sure it makes sense to format these.

I mean the the field literally labelled 'Text' - the one where the help says 'In this field you would enter the citation text for this source ...'

See the attached for further clarification

It does get formatted. See here for an example: dev.webtrees.net/demo-dev/individual.php?pid=i73&ged=demo
