Question [SOLVED] GEDCOM error invalid CSTA Link

I have several errors on the form:
FAM F123 has a CSTA">CSTA link to C120. This type of link is not allowed here.
It seems to be related to marking a child as a twin or adopted. How is this best corrected. This family tree is not currently online
BTW I really like the beta release; nicely refactored.
Always looking forward to seeing the past

What type of record is C120 ? (You can probably find it by typing C120 into the header search box).
webtrees is very forgiving, and will generally function well with non-standard and custom tags, structures and records.
> How is this best corrected.
I'd need to know a bit more about C120 before giving a definite answer. What package/software created this GEDCOM file?
This error may very well be harmless. However, if you're keen to have your data in a valid/consistent/portable format (as most genealogists are!), then it would be good to fix this.

Thanks!

The GEDCOM was exported from web trees 1.7.9 most recently but the original file came from Reunion several years ago. I assume CSTA stands for Child Status and I originally marked these records for Twin or Adopted or Stillborn.

CSTA is not a regular GEDCOM Standard tag.

I want some info that would be obvious if I could see your site, but which isn't visible in your screenshots.
I want to know if record C120 is a custom record type (e.g. "CSTA" or "TEXT"), or a standard record type (e.g. "NOTE").
Knowing this will decide the best course of action to clean up the data.

On reviewing past discussion of Twins I'm happy just to delete these non-standard records or replace them with NOTEs
I'll mark this as solved and move on; thanks for your help

I'm trying to determine if your GEDCOM file contains
0 @C1209@ TEXT
1 TEXT twin
or
0 @C1209@ CSTA
1 TEXT twin
or something else.
Knowing this, then it would be possible to do a bulk-update to convert these to proper GEDCOM note records.

In the GEDCOM Standard the tag notation for "Adopted" and "Foster" is as follows:
In the attachment you can use:
adopted = indicates adoptive parents.
birth = indicates birth parents.
foster = indicates child was included in a foster or guardian family.
sealing = indicates child was sealed to parents other than birth parents.

To add a pedigree record, like the one highlighted above, use the following steps.
Go to the individual's page, and then the family tab.
Click the link "Link this individual to an existing family as a child ".
Choose the existing family, and a pedigree type.
This new pedigree will overwrite the existing one.
(You can remove a pedigree the same way).
