As can be seen between the 2 catches, the design has changed.

It is more appropriate perhaps for tablets, telephone ... but on the computer screens, we lose space.

Moreover, it will be necessary to touch all the zones of descriptions according to which it is placed to the right or to the left.

Will there be a possibility to keep for the administrator of the site, a display as in 1.7.9?
How?
Thank you

The design is still being developed.

The priority is to improve the display on small/touch screens. Google now penalizes sites that do not work well with mobile devices.

At least, the new responsive design should not really differ (loss of space for instance) if viewed on PC screens compared to the one of version 1.7.9. On mobile devices the content will be broken up to the available space depending on the display size.

I hope this will be true and that on a PC, we will not see any lost place (see area not used)

On a PC, for me it is easier (visibility) to consult the big trees, to modify and to add information compared to a tablet and especially a telephone.

Even if the priority is to make it better for small sceens, that goal can not overrun a normal adaptable page width. The layout should not have a fixed max width as it has now, but instead adapt freely to landscape or portrait widescreen view. Or any other screen composition. It seems like the max page width is now hardcoded, but the finished product needs to simply adapt to whatever pixel width is available, otherwise this product is rather useless on any computer screen. For mobiles it may need bigger fonts, and bigger buttons for ease of use on a touch screen, but the size of the screen should never ever be hardcoded in any app.

I understand that the new version has many changes and that is why it takes time to get it ready, but I hope the fixed width is only temporary while it's being tested for mobile usefulness.

Don't worry. The "front-end" styling is temporary, while the "back end" structure is updated.

Once the back-end work is complete, I'll create a 2.0.0-alpha release, and then we can start work on the front-end.
