I did a clean install of the latest alpha, no issues. Is there a direct way to copy trees / media from my production system?

webtrees 2.0 is designed as an upgrade from 1.7.

So, you can copy your database (e.g. using mysqldump) from your production server to your test server. This will copy all your accounts, settings, genealogy data, etc.

Then copy the media files using FTP. By default, this is the folder data/media/ although you may have changed it.
