Google Maps add new flags was created by adonaicanez
Hi,

I created a package with the flags of states in Brazil and want to use the plugin but could not do it.

I'm not sure what you mean by "... want to use the plugin ...".

But if you want to use these flags in the Google Map displays, they needed to be uploaded to the folder:
webtrees/modules_v2/googlemap/places/

Have you fully configured the Google Map module? You probably need to read this long WIKI article first, as it seems perhaps you have not understood that there is a lot of set up required first.

Hi,

I have read the section "4.10 Adding more flags" and did everything there, the process is simple.

Good. But then you need to edit each place to tell it which flag to use.

Administration - Google Map - Edit Geographic Place locations

OK, I'll test it on my system first. If it works there I may need you to add "administrator" to my user profile on your site. I'll be back soon.

I think I can guess what you are missing.

When you edit the place (I used Sao Paulo), you click at the bottom on "Change flag". I guess you already did that.

But now, at the top of the flags screen is a "Countries" drop-down. From here select "Brazil", and you should see your new flags. That certainly works for me.

for my is not listed, I imagine this happens because of the language of my browser (pt_BR)

Perhaps you are right, but I do not know why that should matter. It is certainly there OK on your site. I have just added the flag (and coordinates) for Sao Paulo. Can you see them?

I used Chrome (11.0.696.65) when I added the flag for SP to your site. I saw no problem, not even if I change the webtrees language to Portuguese (Brazil).

Are you sure it is not, as Stephen suggested, the browser cache?

Your Brazilian state flags will be included as a standard part of the next webtrees release.
