Old, but helpful: kochsiek.org/blog/2010/06/01/mysqldumper...all-inkl-einrichten/
or from the originals website: www.mysqldumper.de/tutorials/

You need a hosting package with Perl and Cron jobs! Other ways I havn‘t tested.

edit:
I found two files more in my installation >msd_cron/Email/Date/Format.pm and >msd_cron/MIME/Lite.pm ... Without sending of emails not works well.

Thanks martin!
Danke Martin!

For these advise!

MySqlDumper seems to be part off (or Alternative) to fancy database backup. So I am a litte confused. Is it possible and necessary to install with the org MySQL Dumber beside the fancy one?

How will webtrees learn about MySQLDumper, when its installed beside webtrees?

Thank for your advice!
Andreas

MySQLDumper is part of Fancy Database Backup add-on. It is not necessary to install it twice. Advantage of the add-on is the use of MySQLDumper inside the webtrees administration, but all settings are completely independent of webtrees. You can use it to backup and restore your webtrees database but also for other databases.

For all users of Fancy Database Backup. Last available version of the add-on is v1.7.11 and it will not longer maintained.

It seems that the used version of MyOOSDumper inside works with PHP <= 7.1 only. For use with PHP 7.2 I recommend to download the latest master of folder /msd from github.com/r23/MyOOS and upload them to the add-on (vendor/r23/msd). There are some file changes for work with PHP 7.2.
