Fancy imagebar appears on login page on one family file but not two others?
I have checked all the settings many times and I think they are all the same. Any thoughts on why it appears on only one (and duplicates only one image many times)?
I checked the page source and it appears there; just don't know where it might be selected as on or off?
I am sure I missed some setting in some menu.
Thanks for any ideas. Not a major problem, just annoying to me.
I like the fancy module. It adds interest to my basic pages.

Mike

I also checked the page source but it's only present in the Hodgkins tree:

That part inbetween
and
is missing in the other trees.

I think you need to configure that module for every tree individually.

Thank you Bert. I did that, several times in case it wasn't sticking, but no luck.

To test if the imagebar is working in your other trees the best thing you could do is to use the widest range of settings:

Choose all media, use select all and disable the option to 'Only show images with type = “photo”'. The options below the images are not that important.

You need to do this for every tree. At the top of the configuration page you can select a tree. If a tree shows any images in the backend they are available in front, unless there are privacy restrictions applicable.

Thanks Carmen, It works fine on 2 trees. It is not implemented on 2 since there are no images. The 3rd out of 5 is configured exactly the same as the other two that the imgebar is working. There are no differences to my knowledge in the types of images or privacy settings, etc.
It seems like I may have a setting somewhere else than Fancy Imagebar that allows it to be seen on the login page (and multiple copies of one image.)
Once you login to the Hudgins family, the imagebar works as advertised.
I really like this feature. It adds to the webpage's visual impact!
Appreciate your advice.
I tried to configure it as you suggested but no change. So I unselected that one photo and the imagebar disappeared in the login screen, but works fine when you login in. It must have something to do with the one image.
Thanks again. Not a problem with your module.

I have one tree and Imagebar is also showing.

And not only that, it shows the same image times 25!

The Fancy Imagebar needs pictures to fill up the bar. With only one picture in your tree (or one picture that can be shown with the current privacy settings) the imagebar is pretty useless.

The helptekst at the configuration page is clear enough I think:
Here you can choose which images should be shown in the Fancy Imagebar. If there are fewer images chosen than needed to fill up the entire Fancy Imagebar, the images will be repeated.

Thanks. I do get that F.I. needs multiple images. It functions properly when logged in: 450+ pictures.

I turned off F.I. to show on the homepage. Privacy has been set to a maximum anyway.

Sorry for the delayed response, but what happens if you turn off the checkmark at the top?

Do you see the images in the control panel below the settings?

You mean this? <screenshots>.

It's because of the myheritage import I see 4000+ "images' which are just links and not actual photos.
How do I delete these anyway?

The selected images in control panel are the ones the imagebar is compiled of. If you don't see the very same images in the imagebar then there is probably a corrupt image which prevent the imagebar from working correctly.

I think you first should solve the image problems from import before using a custom feature like the Fancy Imagebar.

When importing a Gedcom you have the option to change the image path to point to the image files on the server. You need to upload your images to the server though. Don't know if this is your intention.
