Why are the marriage date and place blocked for visitors when the spouses are dead but a child is still alive? With the data protection one can not turn this off.

This is by design.

If any member of a family (parent or child) is still living, then all the family details are private.

The family may contain photos. The date of marriage (or lack of marriage) might indicate that the living children are illegitimate, etc.

You should be able to override the default privacy logic by adding a "Restriction: none" tag to the family record.

the living child is protected but the information of the deceased parents is public. In germany, this data will be released no later than 80 years after the marriage.
Images are subject to different rules regardless of genealogical data.
