You do not install a module by copying it on top of webtrees files.
A module will never replace one of the webtrees files.

Instead, you copy the module to the folder /modules_v4/

Just a short answer. Is there already a new version fixing the footer problem? I didn't see any notice about this.

No, not yet. I've been busy with other things. Besides, I have some other issues to fix and will draft a new release after I've solved those.
If you can't wait you can grab the development version of the stylesheet from Github:

I've done that now. I think the 100vh was a remainder of the webtrees 1 version of the theme. I agree with you it is probably not necessary anymore, so I've removed it. I think this will solve the problem.

THX for the new version 2.0.9 which now looks nice also on my MacBook with Safari. The footer is at the bottom and stays there.

Displacement of menu items on the right of the web site title

I am using Webtrees 2.0.9 and JustLight 2.0.9, Firefox 82.0 on Debian GNU/Linux (bullseye/sid), running on a PC.

My family tree title is long. The menu items (My pages, Theme, Language, Sign out, plus Search box) get pushed beyond the right hand border of the web browser. If the width of the browser window is reduced the title will wrap but the menu items disappear completely.

Do other users see this problem?

Regards,
Martin.

Perhaps they hide behind the 3-Lines-Button. Try to click there or give a corresponding screenshot:

Franz,

The only 3 lines button I see is in the web browser's (Firefox) menu bar.

I see no 3 lines button inside the Webtrees web page, using the webtrees theme or the JustLight theme.

I just had a look at the screenshots on Carmen's web page and do not see an additional menu button there either.

Franz,

Thanks for the links to your web sites. I now understand what you are expecting me to see! On your sites with JustLight, when I reduce the width of the browser window, the '3 lines' pops up on the right hand side at the top of the page.

On my webtrees page the '3 lines' does pop up, but on the left hand side underneath the family tree title. Not where I would expect to look.

I have some other things I must do this evening, I will test further tomorrow.

Martin.

I see what you mean. This is not intended. Would you please raise an issue at Github than I can't forget to look into it.

Thanks.

Franz,

You and I are talking about two different things. My question was about the menu items at top right, i.e. "My pages, Theme, Language, Sign out, Search".

As the width of the browser window reduces these disappear (apparently outside the right margin of the window).

If the window width reduces further, to the point that there is insufficient width for the menu items "Family tree, Charts, Lists, Calender, Reports, Search", then the '3 line' button appears.

Carmen,

I will raise a bug report on GitHub now, linked to this post.

Not sure if i had to create a new topic or continue in this thread. You'll let me know i guess ;)

I was wondering why the homepage is narrower then other theme pages (i.e. individual page)?
Is there a specific setting i might missed or how do i change that?
Want to use 1700 px if visitor/user has a screen resolution that can handle that.

you can install the custom-css for more used space per line. works for the jc-theme-justlight.

if you edit the custom.css (at the end) you can even set the used space from 75% to 100% for full-screen windows.
