Hello,

Thanks for creating this great project.

In a report XML file, how do I get a list of something other then Individual, Family or Pending?

For example, I'd like to produce reports that could list Note (shared or otherwise) or even places in the database.
<List list="note"> or <List list="place"> doesn't work.

I have been working with own versions of ahnentafel and descendency reports, see topic 'PDF reports'. I have been looking for a manual of XML report language but not found one. Therefore I just started to write down my findings of how it works. This short guide is attached in its current, incomplete form. I hope you get some understanding of how to do!

Thank You very much for your response.

An initial look at your guide seems to still suggest only access to Individual, Family & Pending lists.
I haven't managed to look at 'PDF reports just yet.
I'll look into all of this in greater detail, and then report back.

Yes, that is how these elements work!
I did a simple note finder by starting from the marriage report and change the contents.
"List" will find all individuals that are born after a specified date, or all if no date is given, which probably is what you want. Then all notes at the individual level are printed.
Now you can adapt the report just as you wish. It is included as a module ready to install under module_v4/

Enjoy!

OK Thanks.

The limited lists is a bit confusing but I think I'll work it out.

Your XML report guide above is very helpful too.

If you are interested, I will show you my results when I'm satisfied.
