webtrees already has an incomplete translation into indonesian.

You can get the file (id.po) from github.com/fisharebest/webtrees/blob/mas...language/extra/id.po

Edit this file using either a text editor or a tool such as POEdit.

Send the updated file to me (fisharebest@gmail.com)

How can I add a new translation, i.e., Batak Toba language?
It's code is bbc in iso639-3 ( www-01.sil.org/iso639-3/codes.asp?order=639_3&letter=b ).

I am interested in continuing Indonesian translation, so can I immediately edit the po file? Actually I already forked it from github and I think I can do pull request. I am also intending to use Indonesian translation as a base for Toba Batak translation, because what we need mostly in Toba Batak are the relationship terminologies.

Yes.

Before you submit the pull-request, it is helpful (but not essential) if you can you save the .PO file in "single line" format.

msgcat --no-wrap --output=id.po id.po

(a) add a new file /langauge/bbc.po
(b) add the language definition to I18N::$language_data

Greg,

FYI I have noticed that since version 1.7 of PO Edit it seems to keep the single line format on save so that command does not seem to be needed if using the latest release.

Well at least that's what I found on my install.
