Hello
the procedure to modify the 'Surname/Name' to 'Surname-space-/Name' is very very long.
I think it's possible to modify directly into the table wt_indivudauls and wt_name, but i'm not an expert with sql language ...
Somebody could he help me please?
Thanks
Frederic

Hello

Thanks for your answer, but justly, this procedure is very long in my server (several hours for 10000 persons).
I would like modify directly the concerned tables. I think it's not very difficult, but I don't know sufficiency the sql language.
Thanks
Frederic

Export your Gedcom file and do it in text editor. Next import the file again to webtrees.

Yes, but I've still 10000 lines to modify.
If I replace '/' with ' /', I add a space after the name, so webtrees considarate it like an another name.
For me it's necessary to write a few lines of code to make it.

If you export the GEDCOM to a file, and open in a text editor (NOT MS-Word) all you need to do is:

Find the "Replace" function and do the replace.

No code needed. Do not do a "change all" just in case there are other "/" in the file.

HOWEVER, It would be better to try using the function webtrees has provide for this problem.
