In the german translation I found the same translation for civil registrar as for registry officer = Standesbeamter. Therefore I see "Standesbeamter" twice at the moment if I want to add a RELA for ASSO. Thats not perfect.

What is the difference between? How we can translate different in german?

I am not 100% certain, but I think that the difference is:

A civil registrar is somebody who can perform a non-religious marriage.

A registry officer is a government employee who is responsible for registering births, deaths and marriages and issuing certificates.

Thanks. This things does the same person in Germany. (For ID cards, passports or changes of residence we have another agency.)

Problem solved.

I have changed the german translation to:

civil registrar = Standesbeamter (Trauung)
registry officer = Standesbeamter (Beurkundung)

It is not perfect (a lot of characters) but it is one possibility to describe the difference in the drop down menu of RELA.
