Hello,

I need option to resend verification code to new user.

Why? I have a server problem with sending mails, and now I have some users who register new account but not receive email with verification code. Now I can manually approve that user, but I want to be 100% sure that email is correct. I can do that only if user receive and verify email address.

Just add this button/option to resend verification code.

Thanks in advanced.

This actually sounds like a new feature request: ability to test the email setup, which sends a test email to a known recipient (yourself)
stamboom.BertKoor.nl runs on webtrees v1.7.9

> ability to test the email setup

At the bottom of every page is a "send mail to site owner" link.
You can use this to send a test message to yourself.

How will that allow me to resend verification code to a new user when for whatever reason they do not get a code?

Thank You

1) it was an answer to the question "how to send a test email".

The verification code is to check that the user provides a valid email address.
How do you know they did not receive a code?
Most likely, they sent an email to you!
So, you know the email is valid. You can just tick the box "email verified".

I agree that the signup procedure needs to be improved. But both these issues (test email and code not received) have simple workarounds.

You cannot add just one button/feature - resend mail? And system send mail with code again?

I find when a new potential site member is thinking of joining and does not respond - technically challenged, I don't need more of.

If I want to pursue the new member, I begin a line of communications to the email supplied. An exchange is enough for me to "verify" the address. I require them to electro-sign an affirmation to abide by our sites FAQ, and privacy rules anyway.
