The favourite box on the 'home' page can only be added or deleted. It would be handy to be able to edit it in situ if possible.

When you are logged in and are entitled to do so,
- the block 'favorites' can be added and deleted using the menu item 'Customize this page'
- individuals can be added and deleted at the bottom of the existing block 'favorites'

Reordering is currently not possible. That is editing as well.
stamboom.BertKoor.nl runs on webtrees v1.7.13

Yes, to reorder favorites, you have to manipulate the database entries.

Yes, at the moment the only possibility in webtrees is to copy the descriptive text, delete the favorite item, add a new one, and paste the copied descriptive text. But then the sequence of items is different than before.

The other possibility is to edit inside the SQL-database.
