Good morning.

Some of the people in my family tree are not displayed correctly. Others do. I would like to know why?
here are some wrong ads

eisbrenner.rpgame.de/individual.php?pid=P14&ged=Eisbrenner
eisbrenner.rpgame.de/individual.php?pid=P77&ged=Eisbrenner
eisbrenner.rpgame.de/individual.php?pid=P76&ged=Eisbrenner

and working here:
eisbrenner.rpgame.de/individual.php?pid=P172&ged=Eisbrenner
eisbrenner.rpgame.de/individual.php?pid=I8221&ged=Eisbrenner
eisbrenner.rpgame.de/individual.php?pid=I2169&ged=Eisbrenner

What exactly could be the error with the above?

Since only a section of the page is returned (family with parents from navigation tab, no CSS styling in head) I suspect an error occurred on the server side.

Instructions to dig deeper: webtrees.net/faq/500/
(NB: it's probably none of the "typical" causes, since other pages do render OK)

It looks like the tree was imported, since you have the GEDCOM data. The only thing suspicious to me are place names containing cyrillic characters. So I would check the character encoding of the GEDCOM file itself and how it's specified in the header record of the GEDCOM file.

On the other hand, birth and death places are rendered OK on this diagram going from P14 up two generations:
eisbrenner.rpgame.de/relationship.php?ge...estors=0&recursion=0

On second thought, it looks as though something's wrong in this family:
eisbrenner.rpgame.de/family.php?famid=F19&ged=Eisbrenner

Can you go to the webtrees Control Panel - Manage Family Trees - under Genealogical Data run Check for Errors.
Maybe someone is recorded as his own son.

This is not an imported ged file, this is the entry from the database.

There is no error in the family tree. I had checked that before.

And yes, on this family F19 is the same problem.
But at some point it worked. I haven't changed anything about these people and data for a long time. Definitely not 2-3 years.

The gedcom data you quoted says something else:
Code:
1 CHAN 2 DATE 10 NOV 2019 3 TIME 08:41:42 2 _WT_USER Wolfrum

But never mind that.

Did you manage to locate the error log file on the server?

You are using webtrees 1.7

webtrees 1.7 runs on PHP 5.3 -> 7.3

You are using PHP 7.4

Either downgrade to PHP 7.3 or upgrade to webtrees 2.0

ok, i will make the update to 2.0.5

overwriting the files with FTP is sufficient or does the update from 1.7.x to 2.0.5 have to be done differently?

> overwriting the files with FTP is sufficient

It is 99% sufficient.

Read this first:
webtrees.net/upgrade/2.0/

Just out of curiosity: how did you come to that conclusion?

It was easy, because he posted the URL to his site, rather than a screen-shot...

...and his server is configured to send an HTTP header with the version information!

X-Powered-By: PHP 7.4.3

This is default PHP behaviour. webtrees 2.0 disables it.

But without this information, it would have taken very much longer to find the answer.
