Hello,
using #chartDistribution# in an HTML block I can create a map showing the numbers of individuals living in certain countries. Is it also possible to create a map that contains the different places? I made something similiar manually but it would be great to get it automatically. Here is my example: ziegenfuss.bplaced.net/zfuss/mbo/Karte/index.html
It would be great to get such a map for all places in my tree. Is this already available in webtrees or in one of the plugins?

Thanks a lot,
M. Born

This chart is created using the GoogleCharts service.

There are already plans to replace GoogleCharts with an open-source alternative.
github.com/fisharebest/webtrees/issues/3883

When this happens, we can look at whatever options are available.

Good to hear that Google is replaced e.g. with OSM. Ihave many ideas of how to use a map together with genealogical data. So if you need any input/inspiration just let me know. Unfortunately my coding skills in web-technology is not very good so I can't help much by providing any code snippets.
