You want to extend the menu with more items? Or change the icons?
Probably the easiest method is to create a custom theme. That requires some PHP programming skills alas.

In webtrees v1.7 there was a module to add menu items and simple pages created by Vytux, but this does not exist for webtrees version 2.

You have asked your question in the Version 1.7 branch of this forum. Then you asked for a webtrees 2.0 module. Do you use version 2.0 and have you copied the module from JustCarmen to the modules_v4 folder?

I'm using version 2.0
Need to support 2.0 not 1.7. Don't know who moved to 1.7 group?

You should download the zip file with the final code. You have downloaded development code.

Here the direct link: github.com/JustCarmen/webtrees-simple-me...jc-simple-menu-1.zip
