Pending Changes was created by PippaH
I have been using webtrees for quite some time now but for for some reason I suddenly stopped being able to deal with Pending Changes, how do I resolve this?

I've attached a screenshot.

1) Version of webtrees?

2) Are you able to view the changes in the control panel (Family tree -> Changes log)?

3) Do any of the pending changes look unusual? For example, do they create an invalid GEDCOM record?

I have the same issue with 2.1.0-beta 1 version.

I can see the updates in Family tree -> Changes log, but not when clicking on the link "pending changes" in the top menu.

See the attached file to see what is displayed.

Thank you.

You have 24000 pending changes...?

If so, then perhaps your server does not have enough memory/cpu to generate a page containing 24000 records...

I've just logged into the family tree and am using 1.7.14 version.

When I click on Home I can see Pending Changes of which there are 24 at the moment, I can't see the changes in the Changes log. None of the changes look unusual nor do I have any invalid GEDCOM record? messages.

I have 13,533 individuals and my husband is going to check on the memory/cpu shortly to see if that is causing the issues.

OK - that is useful to know.

Development on webtrees 1.7 stopped in 2016. There have been a few security patches since then. However, it is no longer officially supported.

You ought to plan an upgrade to webtrees 2.0.

There are some notes here:
webtrees.net/upgrade/
webtrees.net/upgrade/2.0/

The upgrade is not that difficult. Essentially, you just copy the new files to the server and edit a configuration file.

The documentation says that you should accept/reject changes before upgrading. However, there weren't any changes to the system for pending changes between 1.7.14 and 2.0.21 so you can ignore this.

It would be much easier to help you if you are using the latest code. Also, the latest code is better and coping with errors, and so it may fix your problem.
