[SOLVED] Editing shared notes from na individual was created by rola
I am missing the possibility to edit a shared note from the individual record. The only possibility to edit it is gooing to the Shared note list, to find the correct one and to edit it.
In version 1.7.x there was an easy way to edit a shared note linked to a fact/event. Was removal of this functionality intentional, or its just a bug?

Yes.
On the individual page, you cannot tell which other indivdiuals/families are linked to this note.
So, you will be changing many individuals - and you cannot see which ones.
If a note-object and an inline-note appear the same on screen, then users will expect them
to behave the same. It is not obvious to a user that when you edit the note-object, that
you are also changing other individuals.

OK, I understand.
Then it would be very helpful to make the shared note clickable - like a media object, source or place. This would be more logical than the procedure in v 1.7.x.

The note can contain links.
The note can be just a link.
If the note is a link, then we cannot click on it to visit the note.
So, there is an icon to click - which will take you to the note.

Thank you very much for quick response. This works as I axpected.
Would it be possible to extend tjis functionality also to level 2 shared notes - for example a transcript in a census fact/event. (I started this topic, because I have some problems with the shared note created with Census Assitant )
