I got an error during Installation 2.0.3.

SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] No such file or directory (SQL: CREATE DATABASE IF NOT EXISTS `dbxxxxxx_5` COLLATE utf8_unicode_ci)

My server settings are ok, look at the screenshot.
The database dbxxxxxx_5 is new and empty.

If I try 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost so I have the same result.

What's wrong with my Installation?
What I need to do?

The *exact same* error message?

This should not be possible.

The error "2002 no such file or directory" should only be possible with localhost.

In MySQL, there is a variable @@socket
In PHP, there is a setting mysql.default_socket
These must be the same.

you're right, not exact the same, only last part.

If I try with 127.0.0.1 than I get this one:

SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Connection refused (SQL: CREATE DATABASE IF NOT EXISTS `dbxxxxxx_5` COLLATE utf8_unicode_ci)

Maybe I should ask my Hoster because of this error message?
But other (older) versions are running on the same server. I have installed about 4 years ago.

Does your database account have permission to create new databases?

I guess not.

Can you create the database using phpMyAdmin?

If not, you can use an existing databse - but with a different table-prefix.
