I am looking for an option to set Webtrees into maintenance mode, but I can't find such an option.

For many questions I have about Webtrees I would like to visit a FAQ or wiki or help, but I only can find a wiki about version 1.7... Where can I find help about version 2? I am happy with the forum!

Best regards,
Guido

Create a file named offline.txt in your data folder.
The content is plain text and will be shown to visitors that will attempt to use your site.
Note that not even the site admin can log in when it is in maintenance mode.
If you delete the file (or rename it to !offline.txt, so you can rename it back when needed) then the site becomes available again.

I estimate about 90% of the existing articles in the old wiki still apply to v2.x
stamboom.BertKoor.nl runs on webtrees v1.7.13

Nice option!
But how about the maintenance is not for a few minutes, but for repairing a large operation. Who knows, I'll be back within a week... :D
