Dear,

After my update yesterday I don't see my default tree anymore on my homepage. If you go to my site ( www.verhavert.eu ) the first page you see is the second tree and not the default page. Clicking on the homebutton doesn't show a selection with both trees.
Even when I adapt the address manually in the browser the view doesn't switch to the correct tree. Only after login I can select the two trees.

In 'website preferences' I marked ' show list...' YES.

Any idea how to solve this?

Best regards,

Jan

I suspect the privacy settings of your other trees prevent them from being shown to visitors.
Control Panel - Manage Trees - Privacy. Show the Family Tree: to visitors.

With just one public tree it's a list of only one item, and that list won't be shown.

Hi ,

Just checked this and privacy is set to 'Show to visitors' for both trees.

> Clicking on the homebutton doesn't show a selection with both trees.

Control panel -> Website -> Website preferences -> Show list of family trees

If this is set to "no", then the selection list is not shown.

In the cache of google I can see there were two trees, named "verhavert" and "doodsprentjes".
It's weird that a request to tree verhavert gets redirected via ?route=/ to ?route=/tree/doodsprentjes

Could this be an issue with pretty urls?

Another thing that would explain this behaviour is if one of the trees is in the middle of a GEDCOM import.

It will temporarily become invisible to all normal users.

I uploaded a new version of my gedcom file yesterday. I can try to reload it.

Hello jverhavert,
I don't have an answer to your situation but I am wondering if you could share your trick for including a pedigree tree on you home page.
I wish to include an interactive tree on the opening page and I'm just starting to learn webtree.

Much obliged for your response.

> I am wondering if you could share your trick for including a pedigree tree on you home page.

1) visit the home page
2) choose "my pages / customise this page" from the top menu
3) add the "charts" block by dragging it into place
4) on the home page, you now have a chart!
5) click the config link in the header to select chart type and individual

Thank you for the reply.
I was able to customize the view for a test user. Although, ideally I need to set a universal view for all users because not all my users are computer savvy.

I've added the Charts widget to both the default block as well as to the new users view but no chart appears for visitors. The statistics page appears for unregisered users.
I am using Webtrees 2.0.6.

Looks like I might have misconfigured some options. The page is at shabestari.bijouxu.com/shajare-name .

Each tree has its own "home page"
Each user has their own "home page" - called "My Page".

Both types of "home page" look very similar.

Visitor's will only see the tree's home page.

I guess you have updated your own "My Page" - not the tree's home page.
