What action do I need to take?

Thanks

Hi Kevin - since I am your webhost I guess I ought to look into this!

The PHP exif extension *is* loaded on the server.

But you are using webtrees 1.7 - and I don't think that webtrees 1.7 has any checks for exif...

You are also using wordpress and piwigo. Is this the webtrees control panel? Can you post a screenshot. Maybe email me directly?

Ah...
My apologies Greg, I was not clear that I have been tinkering around with 2.0.7 using a local server on my PC.
So I might just start over and see if the issue persists.
My live website is still on 1.7 as you say, as I have not yet made the decision to upgrade.
I'll give you a shout when that happens.
Thanks
Kevin

OK - that helps!

There is a PHP extension called "exif". webtrees uses it to auto-rotate photos.

If the library is missing, then your photos may be shown sideways or upside down.

It is generally bundled in with most PHP builds.

If you can't work out how to install/enable it, then tell us about your server software (e.g. XAMPP on windows, MAMP on mac, etc.)
