Bonjour,

Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded
/var/www/html/webtreesV2/app/Module/ClippingsCartModule.php: 344

Peut-on modifier ce délai de 30 secondes ?

Hello,

When I download the basket for an individual and his ascendants (13 generations), no problem. The ged file weighs 1.08 MB, the media directory 25.4 MB

But if I download the basket for this individual’s son, then there’s an error:
Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded
/var/www/html/webtreesV2/app/Module/ClippingsCartModule.php: 344

Can we change this 30-second delay?

> Can we change this 30-second delay?

This limit is imposed by your server - not by webtrees.

Normally, there are two server limits.

1) How long PHP will run for each script
2) How long your webserver (e.g. apache or nginx) will wait for a response from PHP

Defaults for both are typically 30-60 seconds.

There is no point to increase (1) unless you also increase (2).

In v1.7 this was easy, but not all hosting companies allow it
In v2.x you have a folder called webtrees/modules_v4/example-server-configuration.disable. Remove part ".disable" from the folder name. That will add a module which might set the script timeout.
stamboom.BertKoor.nl runs on webtrees v1.7.13

Bertkoor, your answer is different from Greg’s. What should I do?

Using bertkoor's answer, it *might* be possible to change (1).
On some servers, if you attempt to modify the time limit, your script will be killed instantly.

But usually, only the server administrator can change (2).

O-K, Greg. I’m the administrator of my server, so I’ll take your advice.
