The name of the video I am trying to play is: Wiffertsholm1.mp4, and the size is 117 MByte
Any clue to what is wrong?

Try again with a very small video file.

If this works, then I guess it is a limit of your hosting package.

I think a video on 117 MByte is a very small video, and I have no problems playing this or a much larger video directly from my homepage.

I just added a video to the demo server. It works OK.

dev.webtrees.net/demo-stable/index.php?r...izabeth-II#tab-media

So, we know that webtrees can handle MP4 files.

The error message looks like it comes from your server, not from webtrees. It says:

> Most likely the resource limits of the hosting package has been exceeded or a fatal code execution error has occured. Review logs and optimize your code execution.

Two choices. Resource limits or an error.

To identify which, I suggested that you try again with a very small video file.

Thank you for your help.

If I play a video on 18 KB it is OK, but 53 KB is failing.

So some .MP4 files are OK and some fail?

If a file of only 53KB fails, then I guess that the size is not the problem.

Could it be server load, or something else?

Sorry,

it should have been:
If I play a video on 18 MB it is OK, but 53 MB is failing.
