I am figuring out why my gedcom import halted.
Because for me it isn't possible to check the BLOB-blocks, I have to find which gedcom lines are read at the import. I am looking in PhpMyAdmin and try to find the REPO items. I can't find them.

Who can tell me where these are stored?

Best regards,
Marianne

I thought I gave you a link last time with an article how to inspect blobs. Didn't that work?

There are separate tables for individuals, families, places, names, dates.
The rest goes into wt_other.

Perhaps this is a sign to stop doing what you were always doing ;-)

Look for error message in the server responses?

Perhaps you are already way further ahead... anyways...

I stumbled upon this nice tool:
GEDCOM validator... a free tool from Microsoft.

It is helping me a lot with uncompatible gedcoms.

I do not see how to open this tool? Do I have to open it on the screen while the import progress bar halts?

This tool is fine, but some reported 'errors' are ignored by webtrees -> some 'errors' webtrees understand.
The tool didn't help me to find why my gedcom is halting.

This is step 1 in the FAQ article.

You enable the tool with CTRL-SHIFT-I (or similar) first.
Then you do whatever is necessary to trigger the error.

When the error occurs (i.e. the import hangs), follow the remaining instructions to find the network tab.

You are looking for a row with "POST", "load", and a status that is not 200.

Maybe I found the error.
But I can't find the forum topic where was written about how to break the import (by accident I closed the tab of the hanging import). I appreciate an option to cancel/break the import.
How do I cancel the import and restart the import again?
