I am trying to install the reminder module. But I am not able to define a cron task.
In Linux I know the cron option, but how to do on my webhosting?

Best regards,
Marianne

You have to ask your web hosting provider. There are some which allow you to define cron jobs, like mine (Strato) and others that do not allow this.

Thank you very much!
I just found the option in the control panel of my webhosting (Direct Admin) which me allows to define cron jobs. I created a cron job and defined it will send all the output to my email. When the cronjob completes the task, it sent me the message

{"success":true}

After finetuning the email settings in webtrees I also received the first email with coming events.
Thanks a lot for your hint.

Regards,
Marianne

In the reminder module settings in webtrees I selected my name and one other user to receive a list of coming events. The other user has a user level Restricted to immediate family: 2.
These user didn't receive a mail today unless the level is set to "No". Why? Are there no coming events in the restricted family or is there another option I have to set?

Regards,
Marianne

Recently I create another tree using the same credentials.
Now the reminder module sends me a mail every day. The body only tells me:
Code:
{"success":true}
In the past I received two mails: the above mentioned and a list of coming events.

I checked the syntaxis of the cron job.

Why didn't I receive a list of coming events?

Best regards,
Marianne
