I've set the timezone at Europe/Amsterdam, both on website level as in my own account settings.

When entering a new fact I notice a two hour difference between the current time and the recorded time. The recorded time appears to be the UTC time in stead of the local time. I haven't changed these settings for a long time and I cannot recall to have noticed such a difference before, but I might be wrong. Could it be a problem with our summertime? How can I solve this?

Are you talking about: "1 CHAN / 2 DATE / 3 TIME" ?

This field does not allow us to store a time-zone, so we use UTC here.

Otherwise, if you have different users in different time-zones, you could see changes in the wrong order.

Yes, that makes sense.

But I think what bothers me is the display of the time in the extra information block. That blocks shows the UTC time while it should show the local user time, right?
Compared it with the recent changes block which does show the local time.

We currently use the same logic for dates/times for all types of fact.

So, we process CHAN/DATE/TIME the same as BIRT/DATE/TIME and DEAT/DATE/TIME.

We would not want to convert birth/death times, so we do not convert any TIME record.

I agree we should convert these. There is an open issue for it:
github.com/fisharebest/webtrees/issues/2497

It will be easier to implement this after the latest DEV code is merged into the main branch.

A conversion to local time is already in place for the "last changes" block. Why not apply the same conversion to the "extra information" block or alternatively just add "UTC" to the time shown there to avoid confusion?

I just checked webtrees 1.7.18 to find out that it stored the change time as local time while webtrees 2.x now stores it in UTC.

Same record, one edit but shows the time with a 2 hour difference.
Also checked the log files which also shows the local time.
