I'm using webtrees from phpgedview version 1 and i never needed shared notes. Worse, many editors use shared notes to add notes ... that are never shared.
Would there be a way to disable shared notes from control panel ?
Thanks, andre

Yes. Switch the language to English, go to the Control Panel, choose All Modules, search that page for "Shared notes" and disable the module.

i've been looking for such an option but couldn't find.
In module list, there's an option to enable/disable shared notes list (it's already disabled on my website) but i could not find any option to disable shared notes by themselves

Try this: Go to the tree preferences and remove "Shared Notes" from "Edit preferences" for "Facts for individual records", "Facts for family records", etc. wherever is shows up.

If you can wait for webtrees 2.1 (or perhaps 2.2), this will become a very easy modification.
