I have problems with my admin password. I am responsible for installation in Sweden with the address www.brattnet.com/webtrees
When I sign in with my username Brattfors and password, I come to the front page as a regular visitor. The text is still "Sign in".

I then click on Forgot password and add E-mail "This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.", click on continue. I then got the message

"A password reset link has been sent to ‘This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.’.
This link is valid for one hour."

but I do not receive an email in either the Inbox or Spam.

I have checked for password in data/config.ini.php and do not recognize de values for dbuser, dbpass, dbname. I have used dbuser as Username and dbpass as Password, but it does not work either.

Please inform me what I should do.

Best regards
Hans Iwan Bratt

I have tried your tips
Can you access your database? (e.g. using PhpMyAdmin)
Can you access the files on your web-server? (e.g. using FTP / SFTP)

on page webtrees.net/faq/password/ and got
SUCCESS - The user account was updated.
but it is still impossble to login.

I suspect that webtrees somehow classifies / mistakes your session as a robot.

Just checking: you are on v2.x, not 1.7.x?
Did anything "strange" or worth mentioning happen that might have triggered it?
stamboom.BertKoor.nl runs on webtrees v1.7.13

I was sure it was version2 until you asked. How do I check that?

I'm surprised that the Webtrees logo at the top is not visible, see attachment.

It is said that a user is logged in. It's not me. See attachment

You are using 2.0.15.

If you use the developer tools in your browser, you'll see some "meta information" near the top of the page.

In some themes, including the one you selected, the logo is at the bottom of the page.

> It is said that a user is logged in. It's not me. See attachment

That's probably just an old session, caused by someone not logging out.

Wonderfully. I deleted all cookies. That solved the problem. Maybe I should have thought of it myself ....
I am now told to upgrade to 2.0.16. I do this as soon as I know that the current version is running stably.
A very big thank you for the help to fisharebest and bertkoor
