I previously had a Google Ad snippet in an HTML module in the sidebar on the home page, but now can't seem to get that to work. Has something changed?

The HTML block module filters out javascript and non-standard tags.

I can't see how this would ever have worked.

More likely, you put some HTML in the block, and added JavaScript in the control panel using the CSS+JS module.

Funny, was thinking that myself. But it really did work in the past for whatever reason. I believe I had it wrapped in a <div> tag, but still seems odd that it ever worked. Perhaps it was put in place with an older version of the ad snippet and/or a previous version of webtrees.

Anyway, I'm hoping that I can breakup the snippet and only insert the <ins> tag in the html module, and put the script in the top of the html via control panel. Hopefully, that will work.

I may have to create a special module just for this purpose, or just bail on the ads completely. The latter seems like the best option.

Consider this resolved. Just removed the ads.
