I don't know whether question has been treated before, but I would like to get of an obsolete entry in the geografic data.

The first entry in the list is definitly wrong.

I tried multiple times to delete it with the delete button. But this doesn't work.

Please tell me whether I can find it in a table to delete it hard. Or another way to get rid of it.

You must find the entry for 75102 in your data.

This is here yellow, so it will always reappear.

Exactly, 75102, probably the postale code for a suburb of Paris.

But find where ?
- In my Gedcom ? I looked for this already, but without any result.
- In which table ?

I did try to go to the sub-location

and did even Delete unused locations. No effect !!

I had the same or at least a similar problem that was caused by a PLAC tag in my own historic module. See www.webtrees.net/index.php/en/forum/help...ing-in-control-panel

Check /webtrees/app/Module/FrenchHistory.php whether it has this weird place.

But find where ?

Do you have tried it with the "General Search" with all items active (see image)?

With this, I have already found such 'zombie records' once. Why they arise, however, I have not yet found out. But I assume that it has something to do with the import/export of Gedcom files (in a test tree).
After I have found the entry (e.g. a regular birthplace) and opened it once, then it is also correctly displayed in the geolocation.

Maybe it helps?

Yes, indeed, I tried this as well as an editor search in the Gedcom file.

Yes, I did.
But I will give it a chance again.

Some minutes later:

Same result. The orphan is still there.

Andreas,

I had similar issue when I used early webtrees 2.0 versions like version 2.0.11 or similar. I finally got rid of them by deleting them from may database directly.

If you have access to your database, feel comfortable with deleting records directly from it and know how to set your webtrees installation offline and online again, know how to backup and restore your database in case something goes wrong you need to look at 2 tables:

SELECT * FROM `wt_place_location` where place="75102" or place="Paris 2°";
SELECT * FROM `wt_places` where p_place="75102" or p_place="Paris 2°";

If I understand you correctly both values "75102" and "Paris 2°" are not used anywhere else in your trees. It should then be safe to delete these 2 records from both tables.

Oh, thank you so much for the hint.

Yes, I have access to my database,
Yes I feel comfortable with deleting records, I speek a liitle bit SQL since 1987.

I always modify things like this on the active and online site. We are not too much to work together.

But the best of all, I thought that I have looked for entries like that before.

No, two orphan records were the reason for the ake.

I deleted them and the display is clean.

Thank you once more.
