The number of results for a family differs in overview and list.

Besides the difference of living people and so protected from list, there is be a difference even when logged in ( as me ) for some families.

What else does a family not to show in the list?

Logged in: 67 results.
Public: 61 results.
So you seen to have 6 private families.

Then you say there is a difference in two public lists. For me it is not clear what we are looking at.
Can you show a bit more of the screen and what menu path you took to get there?

Have you compared the list with 69 families and the list with 67 families? What is the specialty of the two families?

To search for the 6 private families is another topic.

there is no list with 69 families. That number only appears in the overview!

> That number only appears in the overview!

That number is not a count of individuals. It is actually a count of names.
So, if someone has two name records with the same surname, it will count twice.

This is a performance optimisation.

In the table of families/individuals, the duplicates will be removed.

Try to exclude persons which have name F... as married name. When not then couples, where the wife has a married name cann be counted twice. Even there will be included a couple where the wife has a "correct" married name form another marriage.

I cannot say if this is a bug, or feature.

I think I have removed all "duplicate" names (for Fobbe): perhaps if there married both with surname "Fobbe". I'll check.

Ok: That is the reason and explanation!

@Rola: I have removed all married names from the gedcom (besides of 3 indis with other surnames). (I don't know when the law in Germany changed, but till then the wife always got the surname of her husband. So I did not enter a married name for these indis.)
