Since last weekend's upgrade to v 2.15, the slideshow only shows one image out of the 417 available.

Does anyone have any advice how to get the slideshow running again?

@Koebi

What are the settings in Slide Show?
Looking at your media list, there is only one media object having the Type tag "Photo" (the one displayed in Slide Show). In rest of your media objects Type is missing.

Having a closer look, it appears Format jpg and jpeg are excluded from the slide show. Only Format: JPG files are displayed.
If you edit a media object (just click edit and save) Format will be changed to JPG, and the file will be included in Slide Show

Many thanks for the explanations, however, I do not quite understand why now in the family tree " Strickler Family " those photos are displayed whose type tag I have manually changed to "photo", whose format is displayed with "JPG" although the original file has the extension "jpg".

In contrast, in the other family tree " Strickler Henry " all 3 existing photos are displayed in the slideshow although the files do not have a type tag, the format is displayed with "JPG" but the original file has the extension "jpg"?

Do I have to do the eventual changes manually or is there a slightly easier solution?

Looks like file extension does not matter, but Format has to be JPG
I did a Search and replace in Media objects, and changed all 2 FORM jpg to 2 FORM JPG, and also 2 FORM jpeg to 2 FORM JPG

That sounds very plausible!

Do you maybe know a way how I can change the format to JPG for all affected photos or do I have to change each one manually?

Control panel -> Your family tree -> Data fixes -> Search and replace -> Search text: 2 FORM jpeg, Replacement text: 2 FORM JPG, Records:Media objects -> Update all

Always backup your GEDCOM before doing changes!

Upper/lower case is not the problem. webtrees ignores the case.

The problem is JPEG versus JPG in the database.

webtrees is supposed to store JPG in the database for both file extensions.

The logic to convert "JPEG" to "JPG" exists in many places. But I guess one of them is missing.

Let me investigate.

Until I can create a fix, the search/replace "2 FORM JPEG" => "2 FORM JPG" is the best workaround.
