Try disabling 3rd party modules?

at last I remembered that I started to test the pull-request of ddrury github.com/fisharebest/webtrees/pull/4774/commits , but something came up and I forgot.

Now I removed a suspicious line content: e.preventDefault(); in resources/views/modules/pedigree-map/chart.phtml and lo and behold, the link is working again!

That PR was changed. I suggest you look at github.com/fisharebest/webtrees/pull/4768/files and compare your files with those on the PR.

BTW the PR was never accepted by Greg

So you should remove the open request, which has a higher number than 4768.

I mean to remember you told the "Some checks were not successful" message is to ignore, cause they have nothing to do with the presented solution.

this is not an accusation. the original problem remains or is solved by your accepted changes.
We will see at next release.

Sorry I entered the wrong url above, the correct one is github.com/fisharebest/webtrees/pull/4774/files

Further, I've just rechecked this and it is indeed broken - I assume some upstream change has affected it. I'll investigate

Do you need a web hosting solution for your webtrees site?
If you prefer a host that specialises in webtrees, the following page lists some suppliers able to provide one for you:

Simplified code, clicking anywhere on a sidebar event that is not a link will open a popup on the map

With the latest code css changes are unnecessary.

I hope I changed the two files with the correct code!
Unfortunately my original problem is still not solved: You see it described at github.com/jon48/webtrees-theme-rural/issues/58
The effect can be seen on all maps with a sidebar by rising a popup on the map for different actions. (map moves to the left of the screen)
The two screenshots (at the above mentioned issue) show the effect.

I see what you mean but when using a standard theme on your site everthing is fine.

I see that @jon48 is aware of the issue

If you have read the beginning of the issue:
"
Just tested minimal theme and webtrees theme: the same
but
Justlight, Colors and argon themes show ok (cause they are already left)
"
you would have seen, that it is a problem for those themes, that do not have the map at the left side of the display.
If you like I take screenshots for you with the other failing themes.

I have tested this code on all standard themes on the latest versions of all the major browsers on both PC and Android (I don't have access to an Apple device) on both left-to-right and right-to-left languages and can't see any visual differences to the way the code performs. BTW this code is based on webtrees-2.2-dev. but as this code is fundamentally javascript I don't think that will make any difference

For non standard themes you'll have to report the problem to the theme author.

Franz,

I've just looked using all of the enabled themes on freris.de/ and with these exceptions
  • JustLight theme the icons for map reset and full-screen are blank. See below
  • Rural theme the sideways shift that you've reported
I see none of the problems you have indicated,

I've just loaded the Justlight theme on my system and I see the same problem with the black palette - I suggest you report it to Carmen

The Screenshots are from webtrees demo, first with 2.1.16 second with dev-version.
But I am sure that I can produce the effect with freris side.
