Hi,
I use Heredis in french to handle data. All the date and ages on webtrees are wrong.
In my Gedcom, we can see format is "dd mmm yyyy".

I'm new to webtrees, got many details to fix, but let's start with this...

Thanks in advance for your help.
ex.:
2 DATE DEC 2010

Yes, dd mmm yyyy is the correct date format.
"DEC 2010" as a date is not wrong. Any part of a date may be omitted. Is this the "décès" shown as 1220?

If it shows 3107, it's likely it should be 31 JUL. I wonder where the year went.

What is your display language? Just regular French, or Canadian French? How do things look in English?

Usually Canadian frennch yes.
Now I tried two english versions. Seems not related to display. Do I need specific calender settings maybe? Tried a few but no success.

The results displayed can't be explained by assuming the four digits represent day/month and year is omitted.

Notice that "Naissance" (birth) is 3107, which could be explained by day 31 of month 7 (JUL), since 07 could be a month but 31 is too big for anything but a day (or abbreviated year!). However Décès (death) is 1220, so this time the second pair of digits is 20 which is too big for a month. On the other hand, since birth comes before death, we need the abbreviated year (if any) of death to be larger than for birth. In that case birth in the year xx31 followed by death in the year xx12 would imply a very long life, but birth in xx07 and death in xx20 would imply a very short one.

Since the data started in another application (Heredis) before you tried to import it into Webtrees, you must know what those birth/death dates are supposed to be. Please tell us those dates, or better yet, post the gedcom code for that individual.

Hopefully, seeing what was meant and/or what was actually presented for import will help identify the problem that is garbling your data.

Hi,

While preparing the data to create this reply, I updated Heredis, made a new export import and now the dates show properly...

I get tons of errors in the log but the date and age calculation is now good.

Thanks for your help.
