Customize your "home page" "family tree" by adding a block titled HTML.

This will be shown after you are logged in (if you mean this by "connected").

So you perhaps mean changing the text of the login page. That is not planned for the login - page, but can surely achived by a custom module.

You have made the tree private.
This hides the home page.

Instead you can leave the tree public, but
make the individuaks private.
