I too have a similar problem, but with seemingly most links whether from the Pedigree view or Name Lists or Anniversaries.

I've run the error checker and there are numerous errors, but they are all with respect to missing Notes links.

No, actually you have a different but regularly reported problem. It is covered in this FAQ:

wiki.webtrees.net/en/Category:FAQs

Look for the paragraph headed "Blank individual page after installation". Read that, then contact your web host to complain about their outdated version of mod_security (or get a decent host).

EDIT: - to be precise, the error message your site displays is:
Code:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 406 (Not Acceptable) http://trevithick.info/webtrees/js/jquery.cookie-1.3.1.js

Thank you for your reply and link to the FAQ.

I will read it and contact my very uncooperative host, www.inmotionhosting.com that would prefer to only deal with Wordpress sites.

As a long time user of pgv, I've looked for updates for the last two years. After abandoning pgv a few months ago and trying the various genealogy programs for Wordpress, I decided to search for alternatives. It was only then that I found WT and attempted an upgrade from my last pgv code.

I'm new to WT and while I looked around the forums, I did not search.

Sorry I caused you and ToyGuy to snap.

Perhaps you need a new host? There are three excellent webtrees hosting services available. www.webtrees.net/index.php/en/web-hosting-en

We are all new at some point, but this is a volunteer support program and free program, so with that comes some obligation on your part to seek out possible discussions or training materials that have already been produced, rather than simply ask. See the red "HOW TO REQUEST HELP" help tab above. Considerable effort went into preparing a WIKI and answering the voer 35,000 posts.

No problem, but see previous reply.

For release 1.4.1 the the FAQ reference to "Blank individual page after installation" has become outdated. The problem can still be resolved by renaming jquery.cookie-1.3.1.js to jquery.iekooc.js and replacing jquery.cookie-1.3.1.js with jquery.iekooc.js on line 57 of session.php. At least it worked worked for me.

Sorry, but we don't interpret it as "outdated". What you describe is a hack to the webtrees code which will have to change every time you update, rather than going to the root of the problem and having your ISP update to more current code themselves. The Mod_Security cookie issue was fixed over two years ago and an ISP has no excuse.

I think pjh is refering to the documentation as being outdated. It refers to "jquery.cookie.js", but the file is now called "jquery.cookie-1.3.1.js". Also, the filename is now specifed in includes/session.php, rather than individual.php.

The version numbers were added to JS libraries a few releases ago. This fixes caching problems after upgrades.

I've updated the wiki.
