Multimedia again :-( was created by sonoptikon
It is really hard to deal with Multimedia, since 1.4
I had to give up my server and to return to my old server. Database was still working, I installed 1.4.1, now I have the same problems with Multimedia after installing 1.4.
My media path is C:\Users\kairos\Eigene Dateien\Genealogie\Media\
In Multimedia "C:/Users/kairos/Eigene Dateien/Genealogie/Media/" is shown.
Now I tried exporting and importing and exporting and importing and uploading in several variations.
Once the field in Multimedia was missing, ok, but after uploading it was there again, and I really don't know in whoch file there is this "C:/Users/kairos/Eigene Dateien/Genealogie/Media/".
I remember that I explained others what to do in this case, but this is some months ago, and I am really desperated because I don't succeed seeing my pictures.
Isn't there an easy workout for this case?
Werner

What path is this? A webtrees configuration setting? In your GEDCOM data?
Tell us what configuration settings you have for media (Media folder, GEDCOM media path).
Tell us what valus you have in your GEDCOM data (1 FILE xxxx/xxxx/xxx.jpg)
Tell us where your media files are stored on disk.

Now I was really working hard, and I found out, how it went. One problem was that my media still were on "media", and not on "data/media", the other problem was, how to eliminate the given media path.
Meida folder ist now data/media
In my GEDCOM it is c:\......media, but I usually copy them to webtrees/data/media
I hope that everything is now in order ...

Then set the "GEDCOM media path" to be "c:\......media\"
Next, export/import the GEDCOM file.
This will remove the "c:\......media\" and convert
to
webtrees will now look for this file in

Code:
data/media/photo.jpeg
